WATCH BOX OFFICE MOVIES FOR FREE
Based on the first trailer, Disney's live-action Christopher Robin is set to be a cute, and likely tear-jerking story, roughly a grown man reunited as soon as his stuffed bear. However, a supplementary billboard makes the movie see less endearing and more terrifying. This is because the image in the billboard reminds us less of Winnie the Pooh, and more of one of the most well-liked horror films of the last year, Stephen King's IT.
This supplementary international billboard (via Imp Awards) shows the tiny stuffed Winnie the Pooh doll that we met in the first teaser handing a red balloon to Ewan McGregor, who is dressed smartly in a suit, but is reaching out to resign yourself to the balloon. on its own, it's more endearing material that drives house that this film will follow an adult Christopher Robin who reunites as soon as his stuffed contacts from the Hundred Acre Wood, and in the process probably refinds the tiny joys of animatronics causes the audience to sob a lot.
If, however, this billboard is making your skin crawl, it's probably because you saying IT last year and will never be competent to see at a single red balloon the similar quirk again. The balloon was a significant tale in the horror film and was with used in much of the marketing, showing Pennywise the clown offering the balloon to pubescent Georgie Denbrough. It doesn't go correspondingly without difficulty for Georgie.
The fact that Winnie the Pooh is a ocher stuffed bear and Georgie Denbrough wears a ocher rain slicker and no-one else helps insert the resemblance of the two images. We're guessing Disney wasn't bothersome to create people think of the gross horror movie, but now that I've seen it, I can't unsee it. I fully expect the scene as soon as this one to insert Winnie the Pooh growing a mouth full of hideous teeth and tearing Ewan McGregor's arm off at the shoulder.
Instead, Christopher Robin is likely to be as insipid and disturbing as you would expect from a Winnie the Pooh story. Although, the fact that these stuffed animals appear encourage in Christopher Robin's animatronics at a period of extreme bring out does create one bewilderment if there isn't a slightly dark aspect to the plot. It makes you bewilderment if he's actually seeing these toys come to animatronics or if he's hardship some sort of delusion.
We'll know for sure as soon as Christopher Robin arrives in theaters this August. To be followed by IT: Chapter 2 in September of 2019, which will probably have an all-new billboard that makes simple things fright the hell out of you.
